Welcome!

My name is Steven J. Townsend and I live in Culver City, California. Many decades ago, I received a master’s degree from University of Southern California and wrote a couple of now-out-of-print novels. Presently, I’m an active senior citizen. About 11 years ago, while still employed, I set up this blog as a means expressing provocative slants on social and environmental justice issues.

My former employment was in a governmental agency roll and I therefore posted my thoughts anonymously. Now retired, I feel I can express my ideas without the prior potential for complications. These sporadic writing efforts (when prodded by a fresh, supposed inspiration), have achieved an undulating flow of new readers—I often chuckle that sudden readership upswings have correlated with university and high school essay paper deadlines.
